First entery this year on the website!! With the new PointStreak website up there hasn't been much need for our stellar website anymore :( but it is still in use for Fundraisers!! (and the random link to PointStreak). The 3rd Annual Hockey Team Hockey Pool is soon underway, so check out the Fundaraiser page and get involved now!!
April 4th, 2008
The streak of poo continues....it's Sunday or nothing. Please make sure you start handing in your hockey drafts to Mike so he can start entering them into the pool.
February 18th, 2008
Ya, ya I'll get to an update geesh!! Since last update we are 3-4 which is nothing to call home about. The Hockey Team is awaiting Chucky "The Ankle" Kitz to return to the lineup after a devastating sprain? I think he just needed a break from Fossy's propoganda. With 8 games left in regular season everyone better start drinking more water and eating chicken breasts unless we are here for fun!! (I think I made fun of Fossy at least 3 ties already). I think the next 8 games need something different from how we've been playing the last 8.......I think it's called shooting on net. Seacrest Out.
January 10th, 2008
This time in history, Chase gets a goal, The Hockey Team has there best game ever and Ryan skates a whole game with nothing but his fuck face on.
November 29th, 2007
Have you ever seen a team so scared of us? Well now you have, the Axemen aka Supremious Pussious Maximus took at a win from us. How you may ask? Our goalie was 2 minutes late, both teams on the ice and the ref asks the Axemen aka Scardious Catious if they want to play or take the win....they take the win. In all my years of hockey I have never seen 15 pussies on ice before, that day has come. Grow up and play hockey, it's 2 minutes and everyone took time to drive to the fekkin rink. If you are that scared to play us then go to E2.
October 19th, 2007
We have a goalie for Sunday in place of Wayne but are looking short on skaters so grab anyone you think would like to play.
October 14th, 2007
How? That is what every team that has played us is probably wondering. How did those dudes beat us? I would like the answer to that too!! The Hockey Team has started out rough but is winning games. Wayner pulling a stellar defensive game last night would be one reason. Next game Charlie makes his debut....how many posts will he hit? With a ratio of 1 goal per 8 posts I hope he hits 80 posts :)
September 25th, 2007
The website links have all been updated for the 2007/2008 season....the scoring starts now mofos!!
September 9th, 2007
The hockey team aquires Brad Shiele, Ryan Bratton, Joel Hyndman and some other dude that Charlie knows with a first name of Dallas. Leeser has booked ice time at the Ag, Sunday, Sept.16, 7:15pm - 8:15pm. It appears that we will have a decent scrimage against the Long Horns, hopefully Spoon will not hurt Wayne with any hashmark slapshots :)
August 1st, 2007
It's almost that time Hockey Fans, it's time to get the party started. We have scheduled a Beer Night Fundraiser for Saturday November 3rd - 7:00-9:00pm...more info to follow.
June 7th, 2007
Congrats to 1st place Kevin Lasiuk ($400), 2nd place Al Tire ($175) and 3rd place Barry Triggs ($75) in the 1st Annual Hockey Team hockey draft. Mike will be contacting the winners early next week as he is on holidays and has the cheques :)
April 18th, 2007
Go to penalty box, feel shame, season over....
April 14th, 2007
The numbers are in....The 1st Annual Hockey Team hockey draft prize money is: 1st - $400...2nd - $175...3rd - $75. A huge thanks goes out to everyone that bought into the draft and also to the organizer Mike Lees, who deserves 2 high fives, 3 beer and a partridge in a pear tree!!
April 12th, 2007
3-0 is a good start for Round #2. Well played game with a bit of figure skating added ;)
April 7th, 2007
Onto next round after the hardest game ever...bah...forfeit. It would have been nice to play the second game of Round #1 but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Bring on the #8 ranked Breck Scaffold Bulls. We've tied them 4-4 and beat them 11-6 in regular season. Game on....
March 30th, 2007
Round #1 goes to The Hockey Team with a 7-3 over 2 Fur Trippin. It was a well played game with everyone coming out flying from the start. Let's bring that game next Thursday!!
March 20th, 2007
One game left till the run for the cup (probably more like a mug of beer). The line changing has much improved in the last two games, now if we could figure out how to shoot and score!! Barry will now be shooting everything from our blue line unless otherwise noted pre-game.
March 7th, 2007
The Hockey Team hops back to 1st, it felt lonely there for a bit not being at the top :) The Cobras came out hard and it wasn't looking to promising during the first period, thanks to Wayner for holding us in there. Second period we pulled our heads out of the clouds for a bit with Scrobe opening up the scoring for us and Fossy doing a follow up. It wasn't the prettiest win, against a 11th place team, but hopefully it's the start of a streak. In other news: Charlie had 23 posts.....
March 4th, 2007
The Hockey Team drops to 2nd :( The last 5 games have been a change in the Teams usual pace of short shifts, playing postition and passing. Last game loss agaist Detox Vets (currently 7th) was a well fought game but The Team was outskated to the puck and the team that skates the hardest wins.
With everyone showing up we shouldn't have any problems crushing teams. Shorter, Harder Skating Shifts have to be the answer.....when we get tired during a shift they score, simple as that and if you aren't getting tired fast....then you aren't skating hard enough :) We are all fat, except Charlie (I think he's a methlab), and a good hard skate is what we need to wear off those beer after the game
February 10th, 2007
This reverse streak kinda sucks hey?
January 20th, 2007
Wayner is out for next game (Sun, Jan 2), he will be replaced by Darcy (the goalie that subbed last time). Todd is out next game which will give Charlie his big chance to take a run at 2nd in points, so expect Charlie to have 20 chances and 3 goals :)
January 12th, 2007
There really isn't alot to re-cap on last nights game...ok there is...Top Play of the night goes to Wayner for his 'how not to' do a Happy Gilmour. I would like to thank the refs for messing up on the 'who scored' stats again....without them I would probably have 4 points total :)
January 8th, 2007
Great F*ckin game the other night guys!! Next time, hopefully, we get a referee that doesn't skate like an olympic figure skating monkey....
December 18th, 2006
FYI - we will NOT be moving up even though we rock. Jason contacted Mike and said we were good but not good enough :) a compliment and slam all in one sentence..... Hopefully, at least half of you are alive after the hack fest last night. Wouldn't it be nice for referees to either obey all the rules then just pick which ones they want to enforce that night? Fek it, whatever. December 22nd is our next game, be there or be a loofah man.
December 14th, 2006
Loofah?
November 13th, 2006
Trash talk has been added but Barry is already crying because Gretzky thinks he's gay :). I'm trying a new feature In-Out Board which should make it a bit easier for Leeser and I to keep track of you monkeys. Anyone who doesn't get an email asking if you are in or out let me know (email address upper left corner), I'm testing to see who's spam killers/junk mail catchers block it.
November 2nd, 2006
6-0 victory over the UMA Warriors. UMA? Ultra-Mega-Awesome Warriors? Not sure, but they were led by Captain Chippy McChipperton and the unibrow defenceman operating off of a brain stem. 3 cheers for UMA
Quote of the game: "How many goals do you have?" (Barry)
October 22nd, 2006
Great game against the Danglers last night!! It was nice to see some breakouts and passing. Just a little more work on positioning and we'll be crushing teams. Some highlights would be Fossy's, threading the needle, pass to Charlie and Wayner's last second save at the end of the game, lol.Notable mention to the guy who thought high fiving Graham's point shot was a good idea, hey a goals a goal right? :)
October 8th, 2006 - Scouting Report
Here's the scouting report for the October 6th game against Subway, with 1 loss in their pocket I'm sure they will be driving for a win....let's put a stop to that ;)

1 win, 1 loss. Well it wasn't the best game in the world, against the Bundeswehr and I'm chalking it up to no gel in the well. We tired fast and the passing wasn't exactly smoooooth but I have faith that we'll bring a win next game :)

Well for the first game, playing with new people, it went fricken good. I can only imagine what will happen when the lines start to gel. Hell, TLC played together all last year and our first game looked like we all just met (did anyone else notice Leeser hit Thompson in the chest with a pass?).

Mike Lees starts off the year with his first goal....um not with our team though. Better bring your A game Tuesday and score more than one :)
Sept 26th, 2006
The beer cards are now printed off and can be purchased anytime you see Thompson (tonight for instance) they are $20 which will give you 10 glorious beer to drink at your leisure. We may also have our jerseys tonight if Leeser pulls through.
Sept 25th, 2006
Ice time and location update *Agriplex @ 10:15 Tuesday, September 26th*. Also, Team Schedule is now up and linked accordingly on this site. Looks like we have some decent times for October.
Sept 19th, 2006
Not much to update on, we are trying to get another 'bust your balls and puke' skate for Tuesday, September 26th @ 11:00pm at the Schroh. Send me an email and let me know if you are in. I will add you to the list above. If anyone needs more raffle tickets let me know. P.S Thompson likes midget porn......gay midget porn....
August 18th, 2006
Meeting in a nutshell: We've collected enough to register and Leeser will be breaking down the other's doors to collect in the coming weeks. 'The Hockey Team' now has a bank account to harbor terrorists....er wait that's the other bank account....anywho we have a bank account. LT and Scrobe are now the 'Beer Buddies' (I know that sounds gay but it will ensure we always have beer)....I'll explain, these two can spit out their back doors and hit each others house...so basically if one can't make a game the other brings the beer cooler. All teams need backup goalies....we have backup beer.
August 8th, 2006
Leeser has ordered the Jerseys and I have printed out the fundraiser tickets so it's time to start collecting cash and selling tickets to save our asses money.
How does everyone want to go about this? Options are:
1) Set a meeting, Fox & Hounds, Wings, bring $260 (first payment) and collect tickets, meet team mates.
2) I come to your house, sleep with your wife and collect money and hand out tickets (my wife doesn't like this idea, I'm quite fond of it though)
3) Fossy pays for everything and we give him a high five.
As attractive as #2 and #3 sound I think #1 is best. Preferably next week would be best, is Wing night on Mondays?
July 26th, 2006
The jerseys have been ordered and all the numbers requested so far are in the order. The order had to go in so we have them in time for game time. The extra numbers we ordered are 4,5,9,10 and 44 (if Leeser wasn't lieing). Wayner, you get #1 because it's slimming, 30 would make you look fat :) If anyone has comments on the fundraiser, let me know. I'm going to get the tickets printed up soon.
July 17th, 2006
I'll be phoning everyone to get verbal confirmation that you are playing this year and tell you the same damn shit I am about to post here. First off, money, we will have a team meeting to collect cash as we need $260/person to get jerseys and first payment to be in the league. At this meeting, whenever we decide (probably August), we will hand out 10 tickets per person to sell for the Fundraiser. Leeser is pretty sure after fundraising that we can get the year costs down to $300-$350 per person....if you know how to do math that's an extra $40-$90 for the second payment. Now the absolute worse case scenario if no one sells tickets is $460/person but that's not going to happen :)
July 11th, 2006
all crack whores that haven't emailed me a jersey number yet, click the email link at the top of the page and send away :)
July 9th, 2006
It looks as if we are off to a good start on making the dream team. The first meeting discussed Jerseys, Team Names, New Players, How Thompson has no STD's so far in life and the most important......Beer.
Fees:
We have decided to have each player pay $260.00 before August 31st to Mike Lees (treasurer) and then rest of the fees at the half way mark of the season, to make payment per player easier. If you want you can pay the full year fee of $400.00 and not have to worry about the half way mark, this applies to rich people like Fossy.
Jerseys & Socks:
We have decided on a yellow jersey and socks. The jersey cost will be ~$60.00 up front but will be paid back after fundraiser's. Socks are optional but you can get a pair for $13 (the team won't be reimbursing for socks...we know what you do with your socks...)

Team Name:
Flossy won, and 'Team Hockey' is now in effect. Now all we will hear is 'wow did you see that hockey team?' oh the horror.
Beer:
There will be beer at every game, thanks to the 'beer card' as seen below. I have to get them printed off but they will cost $20 for 10 beer (for those dummies that's $2 a beer). This makes it easier for the beer supplier to have beer in a cooler at every game. The first game can just be cash for beer.

Website:
The website will be a quick way to find contact information and eventually hot links to our stats and schedule (which are currently linked to an old team we played for). Also we have some easy fundraiser's planned. On the tickets will be our site name so people can see who won. |
